DOMESTIC ENGINEER.....

Well I thought that I may as well update my profile on the social networking sites...which is were I came across the point of changing my status from working to ... err... the dreaded word....housewife. I simply don’t get the reason behind any one calling herself HOUSEWIFE!!! Hey what the hell is that supposed to mean...(housewife---as in house lice.. house mite...house clothes...what???) wife’s are meant to be only in the house??? If you are outta the house that means that you are not a wife??? People usually end up saying “Oh you are a housewife!!! You must have all the time in the world to lord around and do nothing for an existence and be happy about it!!!”

I seem to be a little confused (read angry) at this nomenclature as I beg to differ here... I think a ‘HOUSEWIFE’ as they say happens to be a much more intelligent person than at least 50 of you so called working fellas out there put together at the same time. She happens to know exactly what to do when...what does each of her family member needs at which hour...she knows each ones tastes and needs...she knows how to fix the nitty gritties of her house without resorting to call for help at the fall of a hat. More than that she happens to be up and about 24 * 7 that too 365 days a year... no weekly offs... no PLs... no CLs... no OTs...

All this and end result... being called JUST a housewife... common they... err...we need to be given our due respects too...ain’t it so??? Well so my lil contribution to this is by calling my self and the rest of my clan ‘DOMESTIC ENGINEERS’ hence forth... as to me it fits the bill completely.... what say?????
